Barnsley Council tenants on Laceby Court and Bainton Drive in Broadway are delighted that their homes have been given a make over. The 20 distinctive council properties have recently been cleaned and painted outside giving them a fresh new look. Works have been carried out by Berneslai Homes who have closely worked with locally based PPG Architectural Coatings UK Limited, who produced a detailed technical specification beforehand to ensure all materials and painting practices were correct. Tenants have been over the moon with the works and have added: “The painting works have made a huge difference and really brightened up our homes and our street, making it a much nicer place to live. We would like to thank all those involved they have done a great job.”
Ashley Wilson, Specification Development Manager from PPG said “It’s great to be involved in a project like this that has had such an impact on the local community. It’s especially gratifying when it’s so close to our factory in Yorkshire.” Stephen Davis, Director of Assets, Regeneration and Construction from Berneslai Homes concludes: “Following the success of this scheme we will be working on a further 63 properties on Moorland Avenue, Woodland Drive, Linton Close and Arncliffe Drive over the next few months.”
