Johnstone’s Trade has joined forces with design studio Unit3 to help architectural and design students gain a valuable insight into their chosen professions.
Throughout 2015, Unit3 is hosting a series of two-hour long sessions at the Baltic Creative in Liverpool, which includes presentations and discussions with practising architects and manufacturers such as Johnstone’s.
Johnstone’s played a key role in a recent seminar on colour and its importance to architects and designers. Students were given a small task by the Johnstone’s team, which encouraged them to develop a bespoke colour scheme for a fictional project.
Johnstone’s commitment to developing eye-catching, colourful and sustainable products has benefited architects and designers across the UK since its formation 125 years ago.
Anthony Fogg from Unit3 said: “These sessions are proving hugely valuable to students looking to make their mark in such a competitive industry. For them to gain this kind of insight from leading manufacturers like Johnstone’s is certain to stand them in good stead.”
